Big Sky Waterpark is Montana's largest waterpark. It's a great place to bring the entire family, even younger kids. Big Sky Waterpark's main attractions are the waterslides. The waterpark has a number of waterslides, including twister slides that seem to go on forever, big-splash slides, and a seven-story speed slide.
If you're not interested in getting drenched, the waterpark does offer a number of other, drier activities. You can enjoy bumper cars, a climbing wall, and miniature golf. And, for young kids, a wading pool equipped with a small mini-slide is available.
Big Sky Waterpark also has plenty of room for picnics, barbecues, and beach volleyball. As for safety, the waterpark has trained lifeguards on duty, and life jackets are available for young kids and non-swimmers. Note that daycare is not provided, and only service dogs are allowed at the waterpark.
If you're willing to suspend disbelief, Montana Vortex is a great place to spend an afternoon. Kids will definitely get a kick out of it. It's sold as a "genuine quantum or gravitational anomaly." Basically, it is a house built at an 18-degree angle, causing you to be slightly off balance and somewhat disoriented. People will seem to be at different heights depending on where they're standing relative to one another. Crooked trees outside the house add to the odd effects.
Guided tours are provided, and you're welcome to bring your camera. Montana Vortex also has an extensive gift shop where you can pick up some great souvenirs. You can also grab a snack and have a picnic, if you like.
The Amazing Fun Center has a number of interesting activities for the entire family to enjoy. One uniquely entertaining activity at the center is the Glacier Maze. It's a 1.2 mile, two-level series of passageways and towers for you figure a way out of. Another unusual activity is bumper boats. These are basically boats driven like bumper cares. The boats also have built-in squirt guns, so you can make sure your enemies get soaking wet.
Other attractions at the Amazing Fun Center include go-carts and a 1/4 mile track, bankshot basketball with 19 different hoops, and a great miniature golf course. The mini-golf course is an 18-hole course with plenty of water traps, sand traps, and other challenging obstacles
Glacier Ziplines is a seven-zipline course that runs through the trees near Glacier National Park. Two experienced guides help you complete the tour. During the activity, you'll get to zipline off an 80-foot Scenic Lookout Tower, climb a sky ladder, and walk along a sky bridge near the Flathead River. The zipline tour exposes you to great views of Badrock Canyon, the Great Northern Railway, and the Flathead River.
The entire course takes an hour or two to complete. Reviews of Glacier Ziplines are consistently good. Note that, while the staff does try to accommodate walk-ins, it's best to book a time in advance.
